The Art of Nancy V. McTigue
Nancy V. McTigue is a direct descendant of American landscape artist Ralph Albert Blakelock. She was born and raised in the Mojave Desert area of California. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her medical degree and specialty training in psychiatry from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
She studied art at UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego. She trained with La Jolla artist Sebastian Capella for fifteen years. She is presently a student at Watts Atelier of the Arts in Encinitas. She painted with the Market Street Painting Group in La Jolla for several years and now paints with Suzy Schaefer’s Color Studio in Rancho Santa Fe. Her art is presently featured at the Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild.
